I think we would all agree that the period between Christmas Day & New Years Eve is a giant Debbie Downer however the wedding of Rachel & Conor which took place on the 30th December made sure to blow the cobwebs right off ! The day kicked off with the couple getting prepared separately in their home town of County Cork. Both bridal and groom prep were filled with great excitement as they both ironed and streamed their outfits, sipped on champagne and enjoyed some roast chicken smothered between a bread roll, something Im now wondering could this be a Cork delicacy ? Either way a delicious start to their wedding morning ! From their we made our way to University of Cork where the couple would be married in the on site chapel. A church brimming with charisma, a photographers delight ! The ceremony was beautiful, funny & sentimental. The air was crisp but stayed dry and we managed to get the most amazing photographs of the couple on the ground of the university. From there, the cars were filled and dusk descended, bound for the one and only Castlematyr Hotel. As we drove up the grounds of the hotel lit with lights danced before us. Guests spilled into the hotel where they were greeted with mulled wine, scones and a roaring open fire. The kids were entertained by the amazing hotel staff and live music was provided to set the mood. The ballroom in Castlemartyr was laid out with fine tables, elegant centre pieces and an entire kids section with teepees and wooden toys. After dinner the guests provided hilarious heartfelt speeches before the couple took to the dance floor to part take in their first dance.
